Beneath Rustler’s clipless body, the extreme Velineon® brushless power system feeds power through the factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit to become the new standard for strength and durability.

Rustler 4X4 VXL’s factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit replaces key drivetrain and suspension components with beefed-up parts made for ultimate strength and durability. From the HD suspension arms to the steel wheel hubs, this is the strongest driveline ever offered in a Rustler.

SELF-RIGHTING

Rustler 4X4 VXL uses Traxxas’ patented self-righting feature to keep the fun going, even when you get carried away with the wheelies or land that big trick upside down. Simply press a button on the TQi™ transmitter and, in most circumstances*, Rustler 4X4 VXL will be back on its wheels in just seconds and ready for more action!

CLIPLESS BODY MOUNTING

Rustler 4X4 VXL uses a clipless body latching system for secure mounting and fast, one-handed removal and installation. The sleek, aerodynamic body features a rugged internal structure and external rollover protection for long life and Traxxas-Tough™ durability.

LOW CG CHASSIS

The Rustler 4x4 sits on a low CG extended chassis for added stability. The low center of gravity and wide track keep the Rustler planted through corners for thrilling high-speed fun.

HIGH PERFORMANCE SLIPPER CLUTCH

The Rustler 4X4 VXL's high-performance slipper clutch is equipped with alloy pressure plates and high-temperature aluminum shoes for optimized power management. This results in instantaneous throttle response through the transmission system, while ensuring all four-wheel drive grips the ground.

TRAXXAS STABILITY MANAGEMENT (TSM)

TSM works behind the scenes to help harness the extreme power of the Rustler 4X4 VXL for maximum acceleration and ultra-precise control. Adjust the assistance level from zero to 100% directly from your transmitter.
